1 God of vengeance, Yahweh, God of vengeance, shine. (1-4-1)
א אל־נקמ֥ות יהו֑ה א֖ל נקמ֣ות הופֽיע	6 7		a al-nqmot ihvh al nqmot hopiy
2 ♪g Lift up yourself judge of the earth. Return reward to the proud. (g-1-4-1)
ב ה֭נשא שפ֣ט הא֑רץ הש֥ב ג֝מ֗ול על־גאֽים	8 7		b hinwa wopT harx hwb gmul yl-gaim
3 How long for the wicked Yahweh? How long will the wicked exult? (1-4-1)
ג עד־מת֖י רשע֥ים יהו֑ה עד־מ֝ת֗י רשע֥ים יעלֽזו	8 10		g yd-mtii rwyim ihvh yd-mtii rwyim iylozu
4 They bubble up. They speak arrogance. All the workers of mischief promise. (1-4-1)
ד יב֣יעו ידבר֣ו עת֑ק י֝תאמר֗ו כל־פ֥עלי אֽון	8 9		d ibiyu idbru ytq itamru cl-poyli avvn
5 Your people Yahweh they crush, and your inheritance they afflict. (1-4-1)
ה עמך֣ יהו֣ה ידכא֑ו וֽנחלתך֥ יענֽו	7 8		h ymç ihvh idcau vnkltç iynu
6 ♪g Widow and guest they slay, and orphans they murder. (g-1-4-1)
ו א֭למנה וג֣ר יהר֑גו ו֖יתומ֣ים ירצֽחו	9 7		v almnh vgr ihrogu vitomim irxku
7 ♪g And they say, Yah will not see. And the God of Jacob will not discern it. (g-1-4-1)
ז ו֭י֣אמרו ל֣א יראה־י֑ה ולא־י֝ב֗ין אלה֥י יעקֽב	7 9		z viamru la irah-ih vla-ibin alohi iyqob
8 ♪g Discern, brutes among the people, and dullards, when will you have insight? (g-1-4-1)
ח ב֭ינו בער֣ים בע֑ם ו֝כסיל֗ים מת֥י תשכֽילו	7 8		k binu boyrim bym ucsilim mtii twcilu
9 The one who planted the ear will he not hear? If fashioning the eye will he not notice? (1-4-1)
ט הנ֣טֽע א֭זן הל֣א ישמ֑ע אֽם־י֥צֽר ע֝֗ין הל֣א יבֽיט	9 8		T hnoTy aozn hloa iwmy am-ioxr yin hloa ibiT
10 The one who chastens nations will he not correct? The one who teaches a human knowledge ... (1-4-1)
י היס֣ר ג֭וים הל֣א יוכ֑יח הֽמלמ֖ד אד֣ם דֽעת	10 7		i hiosr goiim hloa iocik hmlmd adm dyt
11 Yahweh knows the devices of a human, that they are futility. (1-4-1)
יא יֽהו֗ה י֭דע מחשב֣ות אד֑ם כי־ה֥מה הֽבל	10 4		ia ihvh iody mkwbot adm ci-hmh hbl
12 Happy the valiant whom you chasten Yah, and from your instruction you teach them. (1-4-1)
יב אשר֤י הג֣בר אשר־תיסר֣נו י֑ה וֽמתורתך֥ תלמדֽנו	12 9		ib awri hgbr awr-tiisrnu ih umtortç tlmdnu
13 To give quiet to him from the days of evil, until destruction is dug for the wicked. (1-4-1)
יג להשק֣יט ל֭ו מ֣ימי ר֑ע ע֤ד יכר֖ה לרש֣ע שֽחת	7 9		ig lhwqiT lo mimi ry yd iicrh lrwy wkt
14 ♪C For Yahweh will not abandon his people, and his inheritance he will not forsake. (C-1-4-1)
יד כ֤י לא־יט֣ש יהו֣ה עמ֑ו ו֝נחלת֗ו ל֣א יעזֽב	7 9		id ci la-iiTow ihvh ymo vnklto la iyzob
15 For to righteousness judgment will turn, and after it all the upright of heart. (1-4-1)
טו כֽי־עד־צ֭דק יש֣וב משפ֑ט ו֝אחר֗יו כל־ישרי־לֽב	7 8		Tv ci-yd-xdq iwub mwpT vakriv cl-iwri-lb
16 Who will arise for me with the evildoers? Who station themselves for me with the workers of mischief? (1-4-1)
טז מֽי־יק֣ום ל֭י עם־מרע֑ים מֽי־יתיצ֥ב ל֝י עם־פ֥עלי אֽון	7 11		Tz mi-iqum li ym-mryim mi-itiixb li ym-poyli avvn
17 Unless Yahweh was help to me, insignificant my being dwelt mute. (1-4-1)
יז לול֣י י֭הוה עזר֣תה ל֑י כמע֓ט שֽכנ֖ה דומ֣ה נפשֽי	8 8		iz luli ihvh yzrth li cmyT wcnh dumh npwi
18 If I said, My foot slips, your kindness, Yahweh, confirmed me. (1-4-1)
יח אם־א֭מרתי מ֣טה רגל֑י חסדך֥ י֝הו֗ה יסעדֽני	8 9		ik am-amrti mTh rgli ksdç ihvh isydni
19 With much ambivalence within me, your consolations make my being revel. (1-4-1)
יט בר֣ב שרעפ֣י בקרב֑י ת֝נחומ֗יך יֽשעשע֥ו נפשֽי	8 10		iT brob wrypii bqrbi tnkumiç iwywyu npwi
20 ♪g Is the throne of calamities your companion, fashioning toil over a statute? (g-1-4-1)
כ הֽ֭יחברך כס֣א הו֑ות יצ֖ר עמ֣ל עלי־חֽק	8 7		c hikobrç cisa hvot ioxr yml yli-koq
21 ♪g They collaborate over the being of a righteous one, and the blood of an innocent condemn. (g-1-4-1)
כא י֭גודו על־נ֣פש צד֑יק וד֖ם נק֣י ירשֽיעו	8 7		ca igodu yl-npw xdiq vdm nqi irwiyu
22 But Yahweh will be for me for a retreat, and my God a rock of refuge. (1-4-1)
כב ויה֬י יהו֣ה ל֣י למשג֑ב ו֝אלה֗י לצ֣ור מחסֽי	8 7		cb vihi ihvh li lmwgb valohii lxur mksi
23 And he will turn their mischief on them and in their evil, he will annihilate them. He will annihilate them, Yahweh our God. (1-4-1)
