1 Give thanks to Yahweh for it is good, for his kindness is forever, (1-4-1)
א הד֣ו ליהו֣ה כי־ט֑וב כ֖י לעול֣ם חסדֽו	6 6		a hodu lihvh ci-Tob ci lyolm ksdo
2 ♪g Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, who redeemed them from the hand of trouble, (g-1-4-1)
ב י֭אמרו גאול֣י יהו֑ה אש֥ר ג֝אל֗ם מיד־צֽר	7 8		b iamru gauli ihvh awr galm mid-xr
3 and from lands collected them, from the sunrise and from the sunset from the treasured place and from the sea. (1-2-4-1)
ג וֽמארצ֗ות ק֫בצ֥ם ממזר֥ח ומֽמער֑ב מצפ֥ון ומיֽם	7 8 6		g umarxot qibxm mmzrk ummyrb mxpon umim
4 They wandered in the wilderness in a wasteland wayward, a city seat they did not find. (1-4-1)
ד תע֣ו ב֭מדבר בישימ֣ון ד֑רך ע֥יר מ֝וש֗ב ל֣א מצֽאו	10 7		d tyu bmdbr biwimon drç yir mowb la mxau
5 Hungry and even thirsty, their beings in them overwhelmed, (1-4-1)
ה רעב֥ים גם־צמא֑ים נ֝פש֗ם בה֥ם תתעטֽף	7 7		h rybim gm-xmaim npwm bhm ttyTf
6 and they cry out to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he delivers them. (1-4-1)
ו ויצעק֣ו אל־י֭הוה בצ֣ר לה֑ם מ֝מצֽוקותיה֗ם יצילֽם	11 8		v vixyqu al-ihvh bxr lhm mmxuqotihm ixilm
7 ♪g And he directs them in a way that is upright, to walk to a city seat. (g-1-4-1)
ז ו֭יֽדריכם בד֣רך ישר֑ה ל֝ל֗כת אל־ע֥יר מושֽב	10 7		z vidricm bdrç iwrh llct al-yir mowb
8 Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity. (1-4-1)
ח יוד֣ו ליהו֣ה חסד֑ו ו֝נפלאות֗יו לבנ֥י אדֽם	6 9		k iodu lihvh ksdo vnplaotiv lbni adm
9 For he satisfies a shiftless self, and a hungry self he fills with good. (1-4-1)
ט כי־ה֭שביע נ֣פש שקק֑ה ונ֥פש ר֝עבה מלא־טֽוב	9 9		T ci-hwbiy npw woqqh vnpw rybh mila-Tob
10 ♪g Sitting in darkness and shadow of death, prisoners of poverty and iron, (g-1-4-1)
י י֭שבי ח֣שך וצלמ֑ות אסיר֖י ענ֣י וברזֽל	8 8		i iowbi kowç vxlmvvt asiri yoni ubrzl
11 for they were provocative of the promises of God, and the counsel of the Most High they spurned, (1-4-1)
יא כֽי־המר֥ו אמרי־א֑ל ועצ֖ת עלי֣ון נאֽצו	6 8		ia ci-hmru amri-al vyxt ylion naxu
12 and he will bring their heart to heel with toil. They stumbled and there was no help. (1-4-1)
יב ויכנ֣ע בעמ֣ל לב֑ם כ֝של֗ו וא֣ין עזֽר	8 6		ib vicny byml libm cwlu vain yozr
13 And they appeal to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he saves them. (1-4-1)
יג ויזעק֣ו אל־י֭הוה בצ֣ר לה֑ם מ֝מצ֥קותיה֗ם יושיעֽם	11 8		ig vizyqu al-ihvh bxr lhm mmxuqotihm iowiym
14 ♪g He brings them out from darkness and shadow of death, and their bonds he snaps. (g-1-4-1)
יד יֽ֭וציאם מח֣שך וצלמ֑ות ומוסר֖ותיה֣ם ינתֽק	10 8		id ioxiam mkowç vxlmvvt umosrotihm intq
15 Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity. (1-4-1)
טו יוד֣ו ליהו֣ה חסד֑ו ו֝נפלאות֗יו לבנ֥י אדֽם	6 9		Tv iodu lihvh ksdo vnplaotiv lbni adm
16 For he has broken the gateways of brass, and bars of iron he has chopped. (1-4-1)
טז כֽי־ש֭בר דלת֣ות נח֑שת ובריח֖י ברז֣ל גדֽע	7 8		Tz ci-wibr dltot nkowt ubriki brzl gidy
17 ♪g Foolish from the way of their transgression, and from their iniquity will be afflicted. (g-1-4-1)
יז א֭ולים מד֣רך פשע֑ם ו֝מעונ֥תיה֗ם יתענֽו	8 10		iz avvilim mdrç pwym umyvonotihm itynu
18 Their beings will abhor all food, and they will touch even to the gates of death. (1-4-1)
יח כל־א֭כל תתע֣ב נפש֑ם ו֝יג֗יעו עד־ש֥ערי מֽות	8 10		ik cl-aocl ttyb npwm vigiyu yd-wyri mvvt
19 And they appeal to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he saves them. (1-4-1)
יט ויזעק֣ו אל־י֭הוה בצ֣ר לה֑ם מ֝מצקותיה֗ם יושיעֽם	11 8		iT vizyqu al-ihvh bxr lhm mmxuqotihm iowiym
20 He sent his word and healed them, and let them escape from their self-destructions. (1-4-1)
כ ישל֣ח ד֭ברו וירפא֑ם וימל֗ט משחֽיתותֽם	9 7		c iwlk dbro virpam vimlT mwkitotm
21 Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity. (1-4-1)
כא יוד֣ו ליהו֣ה חסד֑ו ו֝נפלאות֗יו לבנ֥י אדֽם	6 9		ca iodu lihvh ksdo vnplaotiv lbni adm
22 ♪g And they offer offerings of thanksgiving. And they recount his deeds with a shout of joy. (g-1-4-1)
כב ו֭יזבחו זבח֣י תוד֑ה ויספר֖ו מעש֣יו ברנֽה	8 9		cb vizbku zbki todh vispru mywiv brinh
23 Descending to the sea in the ships, plying trade in the many waters, (1-4-1)
כג יורד֣י ה֭ים באני֑ות עש֥י מ֝לאכ֗ה במ֣ים רבֽים	8 9		cg iordi him baoniiot yowi mlach bmim rbim
24 ♪B these have seen the deeds of Yahweh, and his wonderful works within the depth. (B-1-4-1)
כד ה֣מה ר֭או מעש֣י יהו֑ה ו֝נפלאות֗יו במצולֽה	9 8		cd hmh rau mywi ihvh vnplaotiv bmxulh
25 And he promises and a tempestuous wind stands, and exalts its waves. (1-4-1)
כה וי֗אמר וֽ֭יעמד ר֣וח סער֑ה ותרומ֥ם גלֽיו	12 5		ch viamr viymd ruk syrh vtromm gliv
26 They ascend heavens. They descend the abyss, their beings in evil soften. (1-4-1)
כו יעל֣ו ש֭מים ירד֣ו תהומ֑ות נ֝פש֗ם ברע֥ה תתמוגֽג	10 8		cv iylu wmiim iirdu thomot npwm bryh ttmogg
27 They make a festival. They totter as if intoxicated, and all their wisdom is swallowed. (1-4-1)
כז יח֣וגו ו֭ינועו כשכ֑ור וכל־ח֝כמת֗ם תתבלֽע	10 8		cz ikogu vinuyu cwicor vcl-kcmtm ttbly
28 And they cry out to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he saves them. (1-4-1)
כח ויצעק֣ו אל־י֭הוה בצ֣ר לה֑ם וֽ֝ממצ֥וקתיה֗ם יוציאֽם	11 9		ck vixyqu al-ihvh bxr lhm ummxuqotihm ioxiam
29 He raises tempest into a whisper, and he calms their waves. (1-4-1)
כט יק֣ם ס֭ערה לדממ֑ה ו֝יחש֗ו גליהֽם	8 7		cT iqm syrh ldmmh vikwu glihm
30 And they are glad for they are stilled. And he comforts them in a harbour of their delight. (1-4-1)
ל וישמח֥ו כֽי־ישת֑קו ו֝ינח֗ם אל־מח֥וז חפצֽם	8 8		l viwmku ci-iwtoqu vinkm al-mkoz kpxm
31 Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity. (1-4-1)
לא יוד֣ו ליהו֣ה חסד֑ו ו֝נפלאות֗יו לבנ֥י אדֽם	6 9		la iodu lihvh ksdo vnplaotiv lbni adm
32 ♪g And they exalt him in the congregation of the people, and where they are seated the elders praise him. (g-1-4-1)
לב וֽ֭ירממוהו בקהל־ע֑ם ובמוש֖ב זקנ֣ים יהללֽוהו	7 10		lb virommuhu bqhl-ym ubmowb zqnim ihlluhu
33 He sets up rivers as wilderness, and a source of water to thirsty ground. (1-4-1)
לג יש֣ם נהר֣ות למדב֑ר ומצ֥אי מ֝֗ים לצמאֽון	8 9		lg iwm nhrot lmdbr umoxai mim lximaon
34 ♪B A land of fruit to a salt plain, from the evil of those sitting in her. (B-1-4-1)
לד א֣רץ פ֭רי למלח֑ה מ֝רע֗ת י֣שבי בֽה	7 6		ld arx pri lmlkh mryt iowbi bh
35 He sets up wilderness as a pool of water, and an arid land as a source of water. (1-4-1)
לה יש֣ם מ֭דבר לֽאגם־מ֑ים וא֥רץ צ֝י֗ה למצ֥אי מֽים	8 11		lh iwm mdbr lagm-mim varx xiih lmoxai mim
36 And he makes the hungry sit there, and they establish a city seat. (1-4-1)
לו וי֣ושב ש֣ם רעב֑ים ו֝יכוננ֗ו ע֣יר מושֽב	7 6		lv viowb wm rybim viconnu yir mowb
37 And they sow fields, and they plant vineyards, and they make fruits of progress. (1-4-1)
לז ויזרע֣ו ש֭דות ויטע֣ו כרמ֑ים ו֝יעש֗ו פר֣י תבֽואה	12 9		lz vizryu wdot viiTyu crmim viywu pri tbuah
38 And he blesses them and they are much increased, and their cattle do not decrease. (1-4-1)
לח ויברכ֣ם וירב֣ו מא֑ד ו֝בהמת֗ם ל֣א ימעֽיט	9 6		lk vibrcm virbu maod ubhmtm la imyiT
39 And they decrease and are depressed, through coercion of evil and sadness. (1-4-1)
לט וימעט֥ו ויש֑חו מע֖צר רע֣ה ויגֽון	8 8		lT vimyTu viwoku myoxr ryh vigon
40 Pouring contempt on princes, he makes them wander in disorder without a way. (1-4-1)
מ שפ֣ך ב֭וז על־נדיב֑ים ו֝יתע֗ם בת֣הו לא־דֽרך	7 8		m wopç buz yl-ndibim vitym btohu la-drç
41 And he sets on high the needy out of poverty, and he sets them up like a flock of families. (1-4-1)
מא וישג֣ב אבי֣ון מע֑וני וי֥שם כ֝צ֗אן משפחֽות	8 8		ma viwgb abion myoni viwm cxan mwpkot
42 The upright see and are glad, and all injustice shuts its mouth. (1-4-1)
מב ירא֣ו ישר֣ים וישמ֑חו וכל־ע֝ול֗ה ק֣פצה פֽיה	9 8		mb irau iwrim viwmku vcl-yvvlh qpxh pih
43 Who is wise and keeps these things? Then they will discern the kindness of Yahweh. (1-4-1)
