1 ♪~ A song of the ascents. Yahweh, remember David, with all his afflictions. (~1-2-4-1)
א ש֗יר הֽמ֫על֥ות זכור־יהו֥ה לדו֑ד א֝ת כל־ענותֽו	5 7 5		a wir hmylot zcor-ihvh ldvid at cl-yunoto
2 He who swore to Yahweh, vowed to the Mighty One of Jacob. (1-4-1)
ב אש֣ר נ֭שבע ליהו֑ה נ֝ד֗ר לאב֥יר יעקֽב	6 8		b awr nwby lihvh ndr labir iyqob
3 I will not go into the tent of my house, nor will I ascend to spread out on my bed, (1-4-1)
ג אם־א֭בא בא֣הל בית֑י אם־א֝על֗ה על־ע֥רש יצועֽי	8 10		g am-aboa baohl biti am-aylh yl-yrw ixuyii
4 Nor will I let my eyes sleep, my eyelids slumber, (1-4-1)
ד אם־את֣ן שנ֣ת לעינ֑י לֽעפעפ֥י תנומֽה	8 7		d am-atn wnt lyinii lypypii tnumh
5 until I find a place for Yahweh, a dwelling-place for the Mighty One of Jacob. (1-4-1)
ה עד־אמצ֣א מ֭קום ליהו֑ה מ֝שכנ֗ות לאב֥יר יעקֽב	7 9		h yd-amxa mqom lihvh mwcnot labir iyqob
6 Here! we heard of it in Ephrata, and we have found it in the fields of the forest. (1-4-1)
ו הנֽה־שמֽענ֥וה באפר֑תה מ֝צאנ֗וה בשדי־יֽער	11 7		v hnh-wmynuh baprth mxanuh bwdi-iyr
7 We will go into his dwelling-place. We will worship at his footstool. (1-4-1)
ז נב֥ואה למשכנות֑יו נ֝שתחו֗ה להד֥ם רגלֽיו	8 9		z nboah lmwcnotiv nwtkvvh lhdom rgliv
8 Arise Yahweh into your rest, you and the ark of your strength. (1-4-1)
ח קומ֣ה י֭הוה למנוחת֑ך א֝ת֗ה ואר֥ון עזֽך	9 8		k qumh ihvh lmnuktç ath varon yuzç
9 Let your priests be clothed with righteousness, and let those under your mercy shout for joy. (1-4-1)
ט כהנ֥יך ילבשו־צ֑דק וחסיד֥יך ירנֽנו	8 9		T cohniç ilbwu-xdq vksidiç irnnu
10 ♪g On behalf of David your servant, do not turn away the presence of your anointed. (g-1-4-1)
י ב֭עבור דו֣ד עבד֑ך אל־ת֝ש֗ב פנ֣י משיחֽך	8 9		i bybur dvid ybdç al-twb pni mwikç
11 Yahweh has sworn truth to David. He will not turn from it. Of the fruit of your belly, I will set on your throne. (1-2-4-1)
יא נשבֽע־יהו֨ה לדו֡ד אמת֮ לֽא־יש֪וב מ֫מ֥נה מפר֥י בטנך֑ א֝ש֗ית לכסא־לֽך	14 5 6		ia nwby-ihvh ldvid amt la-iwub mmnh mpri bTnç awit lcisa-lç
12 If your children will keep my covenant and my testimonies that I will teach them, even their children for ever and ever. will sit on your throne. (1-2-4-1)
יב אֽם־ישמר֬ו בנ֨יך בריתי֮ ועדת֥י ז֗ו אל֫מד֥ם גם־בניה֥ם עדי־ע֑ד י֝שב֗ו לכסא־לֽך	18 7 6		ib am-iwmru bniç briti vydoti zo almdm gm-bnihm ydi-yd iiwbu lcisa-lç
13 For Yahweh has chosen in Zion. He desires her for his seat. (1-4-1)
יג כֽי־בח֣ר יהו֣ה בצי֑ון א֝ו֗ה למוש֥ב לֽו	7 6		ig ci-bkr ihvh bxion aivvh lmowb lo
14 This is my rest for ever and ever, here will I sit for I desire her. (1-4-1)
יד זאת־מנוחת֥י עדי־ע֑ד פה־א֝ש֗ב כ֣י אותֽיה	8 8		id zat-mnukti ydi-yd ph-awb ci aivvitih
15 ♪g Her victuals blessing I will bless, and her needy I will satisfy with bread. (g-1-4-1)
טו צ֭ידה בר֣ך אבר֑ך א֝ביונ֗יה אשב֥יעֽ לֽחם	7 9		Tv xidh brç abrç abionih awbiy lkm
16 ♪g And her priests I will clothe with salvation, and those under mercy in her will shout with a shout of joy. (g-1-4-1)

17 ♪C There I will cause the horn Of David to grow. I have arranged a lamp for my anointed. (C-1-4-1)
