Daniel 7

As usual, I don't know quite what to make of this. The Aramaic hampers what is left of my ability with language. It is clearly political commentary, but also ultimate hopefulness. The pluralizing of the Most High (עֶלְיוֹנִ֖ין) is quite odd. Perhaps the word refers back to the exaltation of the son of the mortal in verse 14. It is then somewhat like the Lamb of Revelation being 'added' to the worship of the one who sits on the throne.

Daniel 7 Fn Min Max Syll
1 In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babel, Daniel perceived a dream and visions of his head in his lying down.
Then he wrote the dream. He talked about the sum of the thing.

12
2 Daniel expounded and said, I was gazing in visions by night,
and behold, four winds of the heavens burst out on the great sea.
3d 4C 19
18
3 And four great animals came up from the sea,
diverse one from another.
3e 4C 13
5
4 The first like a lion and it had the wings of an eagle.
I was gazing until its wings were pared. And it was taken up from the earth, and on two feet like a mortal it was placed, and a mortal heart was provided to it.
3e 4B 13
34
5 And behold another animal, a second in the likeness of a bear, and to one side it arose, and three ribs in its mouth between its teeth.
And thus they said to it, Arise. Eat much flesh.
3d 4B 32
14
6 In place of this, I was gazing, and behold another, as a leopard, and it had four wings of a fowl on its back,
And the animal had four heads. Authority was provided to it.

7 In place of this, I was gazing in the night visions, and behold a fourth animal, perturbing and endowed, and of excellent energy, and great teeth of iron it had. It devoured and finely ground, and the residue to its feet it submitted.
and it was more varied than all the animals that were before it. Ten horns it had.

8 I was contemplating among the horns, and lo, another horn, somewhat close, came up between them, and three from the eastern horns were rooted out from before it.
And lo, eyes as the eyes of a mortal in this horn, and a mouth speaking great things.
3e 4C 43
23
9 Gazing I was until thrones were heaved into place, and the ancient of days was seated,
his raiment as snow cream-white, and the hair of his head as wool, innocent. His throne flares of fire, its rollers fire inflamed.
3e 4C 17
31
10 A river of fire was in front that came out from before him. A thousand thousands attended on him, and ten thousand ten thousands before him arose.
The advocate was seated, and records were opened.
3e 4C 34
10

11 I was gazing then from the tone of the plenary speaking that the horn spoke.
I was gazing until the animal was killed and her frame eliminated and she was provided to the burning mass of fire.
3e 4C 22
24
12 And the residue of the animals had their authority removed,
yet a prolonging of their lives was provided to them for a season and a time.

17
13 Gazing I was in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of the heavens, as a son of a mortal he had arrived.
And to the ancient of days he was found, and before him they brought him near.
3e 4C 27
17

14 And to him was ascribed authority, and esteem, and kingdom. And all peoples, clans, and tongues, him they would revere.
His authority is everlasting authority that will not be removed, and his kingdom is one that will not inflict pain.
3d 4C 28
18
15 I Daniel was concerned, my spirit within its sleeve,
and the visions of my head vexed me.
3d 4B 16
11
16 I approached to one from those that had arisen, and sought from him the reliability concerning all this,
and he talked to me, and the key to the things, he made me know.
3e 4B 21
14
17 These great animals, these four,
are four kings who will arise from the earth.
3e 4B 14
11
18 And the holy ones of those Most High will receive the kingdom,
and they will make the kingdom invincible to the era, and to the era of eras.
3e 4C 11
17

19 Then I was pleased to be certain concerning the fourth animal that became varied from all of them.
Perturbing excellently, her tooth of iron, and her fingernails of brass, she devoured, finely grinding, and the residue she made submit with her feet.
3e 4C 22
30

20 And concerning the ten horns that were on her head, the other that came up, and three fell before it,
and this horn and her eyes, and a mouth speaking great things, and her gaze greater than her companions,
3e 4C 27
25
21 Gazing I was, and this horn served close combat with the holy ones,
and overpowered them.
3e 4B 17
5
22 B Until the ancient of days arrived and the case was provided to the holy ones of those Most High.
And the season was found suitable and the holy ones made the kingdom invincible.
3e 4B 19
16
23 So he said the fourth animal, the fourth kingdom will be on the earth, that will vary from all the kingdoms,
and will devour all the earth, and will thresh it, and finely grind it.
3e 4C 30
14

24 And the ten horns from her kingdom are ten kings.
They will arise, and another will arise after them, and it will vary from the preceding, and it will abase three kings.
3e 4C 18
26

25 And speeches to the side of the Supreme, it will speak, and the holy ones of those Most High, it will wear out.
And it will intend to vary seasons and dictates. They will be provided into its hand until a time and times, and the entanglement of times.
3e 4C 20
29
26 But the case will be provided,
and his authority will be removed, to exterminate it, and to eliminate it until the conclusion.
3e 4B 5
18
27 And the kingdom, and the authority, and the grandeur, of the kingdom, under all the heavens will be provided, to the people of the holy ones of those Most High.
His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and all authorities will revere him and pay heed.
3e 4C 31
21

28 Yet again, thus is the conclusion of the thing.
I am Daniel. My associations much vexed me, and my countenance varied in me, but the thing in my heart I held back.
