Nehemiah 11

This perked right along, allowing me to regain some of the lost time as I prepare for a few more days off in the coming months. But it also showed some of my inconsistency of rendering. Sometimes I use child of and sometimes the child of.

But there are variations in the forms of the many lists of people. Some seem more rapid-fire than others. So the performance should be swift. Sometimes I am just reading for all the singers I know, who believe and who do not, just like me, or both at once, in the body or out of the body, I do not know.

The singers are under the command of the king in this chapter. They are prophets (1 Chronicles 25), and music is the only weapon in the last battle.

Write me a story. Or read this story and these lists to figure out if they are like shopping lists or meant to be thought in sentences. The former, I think. But you are at liberty to add a form of the verb to be wherever you need it.

Verse 25, it seems unnecessarily oversimplified to render ובנתיה (from בנה build) and וחצריה (from חצר grass or village or court) as the same phrase in English.

You might note several long verses with no atnach. The rules for creating the music are flexible. No wonder people had trouble explaining them as punctuation.

Of the children of Judah, some had settled in Qiryath-Arba and her built-up areas, and in Dibon and her built-up areas, and in Yiqbetsel and her villages.	3e	4C	9 34

זָנֹ֤חַ עֲדֻלָּם֙ וְחַצְרֵיהֶ֔ם לָכִישׁ֙ וּשְׂדֹתֶ֔יהָ עֲזֵקָ֖ה וּבְנֹתֶ֑יהָ וַיַּחֲנ֥וּ מִבְּאֵֽר־שֶׁ֖בַע עַד־גֵּֽיא־הִנֹּֽם	30		Zanoah, Adullam, and their villages, Lachish and her countryside, Azeiqah and her built-up areas. And they camped from Beer-Sheva to the gorge of Hinnom.	3e	4C	23 12
