1 Samuel 15

Yahweh does not regret as a human (אדם), but Yahweh regrets (נחם) in this chapter. I have never used repent at all. For a human it is to turn (שׁוב) to or from whatever needs turning to or from. Plenty of that stem in this chapter too.

1 Samuel 15 Fn Min Max Syll
1 And Samuel said to Saul, Yahweh sent me to anoint you to reign over his people, over Israel,
and now hear the voice of the words of Yahweh.

11
2 C Thus says Yahweh of hosts, I have revisited what Amalek had done to Israel,
that he set up for him on the journey, when he came up from Egypt.
3d 4C 23
15
3 Now go and strike Amalek, and utterly destroy all that he has, and you will not show pity on him,
and you will put to death, from man to woman, from infant and to nursling, from bull and to lamb, from camel and to ass.
3e 4B 27
28
4 And Saul broadcast to the people, and he conscripted them at the Tel of Horror, two hundred thousand on foot,
and ten thousand soldiers of Judah.
3e 4C 21
12
5 And came Saul to a city of Amalek,
and lay in wait in the wadi.
3e 4B 10
6
6 And Saul said to the Kenite, Go. Turn aside. Come down from the midst of the Amalekite, lest I gather you with him, for you, you dealt kindness with all the children of Israel when they came up from Egypt.
And the Kenite turned aside from the midst of Amalek.
3e 4C 50
10
7 And Saul struck Amalek,
from Havilah to your entry to Shur that faces Egypt.
3e 4B 8
16
8 And he arrested Agag, the king of Amalek, alive,
and all the people he put to the ban with the edge of the sword.
3d 4A 12
11
9 And Saul and the people had pity on Agag, and on the best of the flock, and the oxen, and the yearlings, and on the butting lambs, and on all that was good. And they would not consent to utterly destroy them.
But all the workmanship, despicable or decayed, it, they utterly destroyed.

17
10 And the word of Yahweh happened to Samuel, saying, 3e 3g 12
11 I regret that I made Saul reign as king, for he has turned from following me, and my words he has not upheld.
And it burned for Samuel, and he appealed to Yahweh all night.
3e 4C 27
16
12 And Samuel rose up early to encounter Saul in the morning.
And it was made clear to Samuel, saying, Saul came to Carmel and behold, stood firm for himself, adjacent, and he circled, and he passed through, and he went down to the Gilgal.
3c 4C 13
35
13 And Samuel came to Saul,
and Saul said to him, Blessed you are of Yahweh. I have upheld the word of Yahweh.
3c 4C 9
21
14 And Samuel said, But what is the voice of this flock in my ears,
and the voice of the oxen which I am hearing?
3d 4B 16
13
15 And Saul said, From Amalek they have brought them, that the people had pity on the best of the flock, and the oxen, for the sake of an offering to Yahweh your God.
And the surplus we have utterly destroyed.
3e 4C 40
9
16 And Samuel said to Saul, Desist, and I will tell you what Yahweh has spoken to me by night.
And he said to him, Speak.
3c 4C 29
6
17 And Samuel said, Was it not when you were least in your eyes, the head of the sceptres of Israel, yourself,
that Yahweh anointed you to be king over Israel?
3c 4C 25
14
18 And Yahweh sent you on a journey.
And he said, Go and utterly destroy the sinners, Amalek, and fight him until their consummate end.
3e 4B 10
29
19 So why have you not heard with the voice of Yahweh,
but acted like a bird of prey to the spoil? And you did evil in the eyes of Yahweh.
3e 4B 10
17
20 And Saul said to Samuel, I have heard with the voice of Yahweh, and I went on the journey as Yahweh sent me,
and I have brought Agag the king of
Amalek, and Amalek I have utterly destroyed.
3e 4C 32
20
21 But the people took from the spoil, sheep and oxen, the preeminent of the ban,
to offer to Yahweh your God in the Gilgal.
3c 4B 18
12
22 And Samuel said, Has Yahweh more delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices than hearing with the voice of Yahweh?
Behold to hear is better than sacrifice, to pay attention than the choicest of rams.
3e 4C 24
17
23 C For the sin of soothsaying is provocation and mischief, and timidity is costly.
Because you refused the word of Yahweh, so he will also refuse you as king.
3e 4C 15
17
24 And Saul said to Samuel, I have sinned that I have gone beyond the mandate of Yahweh and your words,
for I feared the people, and I have heard with their voice.
3e 4C 26
13
25 So now bear please my sin,
and return with me that I may worship Yahweh.
3e 4B 9
11
26 And Samuel said to Saul, I will not return with you,
for you have refused the word of Yahweh, and Yahweh has refused you from being king over Israel.
3e 4C 14
23
27 And Samuel went around to go,
and he held resolute to the hem of his mantle, and it ripped.
3e 4A 9
13
28 And Samuel said to him, Yahweh has ripped the kingdom of Israel from you today,
and has given it to your associate, better than you.
3c 4C 25
12
29 And furthermore the leader of Israel will not be false, and will not regret,
for he is not a human that he should regret.
3d 4B 16
9
30 But he said, I have sinned. Now glorify me, please, before the elders of my people and before Israel,
and return with me, that I may worship Yahweh your God.
3d 4B 23
16
31 And Samuel returned after Saul,
and Saul worshiped Yahweh.
3e 4B 11
8
32 And Samuel said, Bring close to me Agag king of Amalek. And Agag sidled up to him with enthrallment.
And Agag said, Nevertheless, put aside is the bitterness of death.
3e 4C 30
12
33 And Samuel said, As your sword has bereaved women, so is bereaved among women your mother.
And Samuel hacked Agag in pieces in the presence of Yahweh in the Gilgal.
3c 4C 25
16
34 And Samuel went towards Ramah.
And Saul ascended to his house, to Gibeah of Saul.
3d 4A 10
12
35 And Samuel did not see Saul again until the day of his death, but Samuel lamented for Saul.
But Yahweh regretted that he had made Saul king over Israel.
