2 Chronicles 6

This is largely parallel to 1 Kings 8. Sometimes it is just a spelling difference. Sometimes there are specific differences. (E.g. verse 13 below is new information about Solomon's scaffold.) But detailed comparison would be more detail than these posts can go into. Translation has a certain momentum, like skim-boarding. It's not digging for clams or trapping crabs, though occasionally one points to this or that feature.

Sometimes my phrasing is indelicate. A Lego character can 'turn his face around' probably more easily than Solomon. So for verse 3 and the parallel in 1 Kings 8 I have wrenched the body of the text into a more appropriate phrasing to avoid spinal injury to the king.

There is a closely controlled process that I will try to detail at some point. Every word that is 'done' is used to seed the words that are not yet read. When I read the computer's 'guesses' then I sometimes have to revisit older decisions.
2 Chronicles 6
1 Then Solomon said,
Yahweh is said to dwell in dark turbulence.
6
10
2 And I, I have built a house of residence for you,
and an establishment as your seat everlastingly.
10
10
3 And the king turned around, faced, and blessed all the congregation of Israel.
And all the congregation of Israel standing.
19
9
4 And he said, Blessed is Yahweh the God of Israel who spoke with his mouth to David my father,
and with his hands filled, said,
24
7
5 From that day when I brought my people out from the land of Egypt, I did not chose in a city from all the sceptres of Israel to build a house to be My Name Is There,
and I did not chose in anyone, to be heralded over my people Israel.
37
16
6 But I chose in Jerusalem to be My Name Is There,
and I chose in David to be over my people Israel.
12
14
7 And it was with the heart of David my father,
to build a house to the name of Yahweh the God of Israel.
9
14
8 And Yahweh said to David my father, In that it was with your heart to build a house for my name,
you did well that it was with your heart.
26
11
9 But you, you will not build the house,
for your son, the one who comes forth from your genus, he, he will build the house for my name.
9
19
10 And Yahweh placed his word that he spoke.
And I am placed under David my father and sit on the throne of Israel, as Yahweh spoke and I have built the house to the name of Yahweh, the God of Israel.
13
41
11 And I have set there the ark, where there is the covenant of Yahweh,
which he cut with the children of Israel.
15
10
12 And he stood before the altar of Yahweh in front of all the congregation of Israel,
and spread his palms.
18
5
13 For Solomon had made a brass scaffold and consigned it to the midst as a help, five cubits its length, five cubits its breadth, three cubits its height,
and he stood on it and he knelt on his knees in front of all the congregation of Israel and spread his palms heavenward.
41
29
14 And he said, Yahweh, the God of Israel, there is none like you, O God, in the heavens or on the earth,
keeping the covenant and loving-kindness for your servants who walk before you with all their heart,
25
24
15 who kept for your servant, David, my father what you spoke to him,
and you speak with your mouth, and with your hand you fulfill as on this day.
20
16
16 And now Yahweh, the God of Israel, keep for your servant, David, my father what you spoke to him, saying, There will not be cut off for you, a man from my presence to sit on the throne of Israel,
solely if your children will keep their way to walk in my instruction as you have walked in my presence.
47
27
17 And now, Yahweh, the God of Israel,
let your word be verified that you spoke for your servant, for David.
11
18
18 For is it in verity, God sits with humanity on the earth?
Behold, heaven and the heaven of the heavens do not abide you. How much less this house which I have built.
17
26
19 And face the prayer of your servant and his supplication, Yahweh, my God,
to hear the joyful cry and the prayer that your servant prays to your face,
22
24
20 to let your eyes be open to this house day and night, to the place where you promised to put your name there,
to hear the prayer that your servant will pray to this place.
33
21
21 Then hear the supplication of your servant and your people Israel who pray to this place,
and you, you hear from the place of your seat, from the heavens. Then hear and forgive.
29
22
22 If anyone sins against his associate and claims censure against him that causes him to be censured,
and censure comes before your altar in this house,
20
15
23 then you, you hear from the heavens, and do, and judge your servants to make return to one who is wicked, to permit his way on his head,
and to justify a righteous one to permit for him according to his righteousness.
35
12
24 And if your people Israel are plagued facing an enemy for they sin against you,
then let them return and give thanks to your name, and have them pray and supplicate in your presence in this house,
19
27
25 then you, you hear from the heavens, and forgive the sin of your people Israel,
and have them returned to the ground that you gave for them and for their ancestors.
21
23
26 When the heavens are contained and there is no rain for they sin against you,
and they pray to this place and give thanks to your name, from their sin they turn, for you afflict them,
18
28
27 then you, you hear, the heavens, and forgive the sin of your servants and your people Israel, that you instruct them in the good way which they should walk in,
and you give rain on your land that you gave to your people for an inheritance.
40
22
28 Famine. For there may be in the earth pestilence, for there may be blight and mildew, locust and caterpillar, for there may be. For his enemies make him deficient in the land of his gates,
all contagion and all illness.
40
8
29 all prayer, all supplication, that will be, to all humanity and to all your people Israel,
anyone who knows their contagion and from sorrow, and spreads his palms to this house.
24
22
30 then you, you hear, the heavens, the base of your seat, and forgive, and you give to each according to all his ways,
whose heart you do know. For you, you know, you only, the heart of all the children of humanity.
37
17
31 So that they will fear you, to walk in your ways all the days that they live over the face of the ground,
that you gave to our ancestors.
30
10
32 And even to the foreigner who is not of your people Israel such a one, and he comes from a land far off for the sake of your great name, and your courageous hand and your stretched out arm,
and they come and they pray to this house.
46
13
33 And you, you hear from the heavens, from the base of your seat, and do everything the foreigner calls to you,
so that they will know, all the peoples of the earth, your name and fear you, as your people Israel, and to know that your name is called over this house which I have built.
30
46

34 For your people go forth to war against its enemies in the way that you send them
and they pray unto you via this city, in her which you have chosen, and the house which I have built for your name,
19
31
35 then hear from the heavens their prayer and their supplication,
and do their judgment.
19
7
36 For they sin against you (for there is no human who not does sin) and you are angry among them and you give them into the presence of an enemy,
and captive, they carry them away to a land far off or near.
26
16
37 And they are turned in their heart in the land where they are captive,
and they turn and supplicate to you in the land of their captives and say, We have sinned. We have been perverse and we are wicked.
16
28
38 Then let them return to you with all their heart and with all their being in the land of their captives who led them away captive,
and pray via their land that you have given to their ancestors and the city which you have chosen and the house which I have built for your name.
25
37
39 Then hear from the heavens, from your established seat their prayer and their supplications and do their judgment,
and forgive your people who have sinned against you.
32
12
40 Now my God, let, please, your eyes be open and your ears pay attention,
to the prayer of this place.
20
8
41 And now, arise, Yahweh God, to your rest, you and the ark of your strength.
Your priests, Yahweh God, let them be clothed in salvation and those under your mercy make glad with goodness.
22
25
42 Yahweh God, do not turn away the presence of your anointed.
Remember the mercies of David your servant.
