2 Chronicles 15

Moving right along, sometimes on the path of least resistance. I will admit about this public reading I sometimes wonder why I am doing it. The axes I used to grind have long since disintegrated. But there is something to caring for the disadvantaged.

This chapter begins almost post modern, and then reverts to the worst of compelled uniformity of thought. Who is Yahweh that we should assume compelled uniformity of thought is a requirement of what must be in the one who is becoming what he is becoming? Perhaps it is the non-conformist that points out to us who think we conform that our integrity is not all we think it to be.

1 And Azariah child of Oded, the spirit of God was upon him. 3e 3g 17
2 And he came out before Asa, saying to him, Hear me Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin.
Yahweh is with you when you are with him, and if you search him out he will be found of you, and if you forsake him he will forsake you.

3 And many days for Israel,
there will be no God of truth and no priest instructing and no instruction.

4 But let him turn in his straits to Yahweh the God of Israel,
and let them seek him, and he will be found of them.
3e 4B 15
10
5 And in those times there will be no peace for one to go out or to come in,
for much discomfort will be over all the inhabitants of the lands.
3e 4C 15
14
6 And they will beat nation by nation and city by city,
for God will confuse them with all trouble.

10
7 But you be resolute and do not let go your hands,
for there is a wage for your work.

8 And as Asa heard these words and the prophesy of Oded the prophet, he was resolved, and he was furious at the detestable things from all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and from the cities that he had conquered from mount Ephraim,
and he renovated the altar of Yahweh that was before the porch of Yahweh.

16
9 And he collected all Judah and Benjamin and those residing with them from Ephraim and Manasseh and from Simeon,
for they fell to him from Israel in abundance when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.
3e 4C 29
23
10 And they collected themselves at Jerusalem in the third month,
of the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
3e 4B 14
11
11 And they sacrificed to Yahweh in that day from the spoil they had brought,
oxen, seven hundred, and sheep, seven thousand.
3e 4C 17
13
12 And they entered into a covenant to search out Yahweh the God of their ancestors,
with all their heart and with all their integrity.
3e 4B 17
9
13 And anyone that not would search out to Yahweh the God of Israel would be put to death,
from the least to the greatest, man or woman.
3c 4A 17
15
14 And they swore to Yahweh with a great voice and with a shout of triumph,
and with trumpets and with shophar.
3e 4A 14
9
15 And all Judah was glad over the oath, for with all their heart they swore, and with all acceptance they sought him, and he was found of them,
and Yahweh gave rest to them round about.

10
16 And even Makah the mother of Asa the king, he put her aside as queen-mother when she made a totem for her fetish,
and Asa cut off her totem and ground it finely and incinerated it in the wadi Kidron.
3e 4C 28
20
17 But the high places they did not put aside from Israel,
but the heart of Asa was at peace all his days.
3c 4A 10
12
18 And he brought the holy things of his father and his own holy things into the house of God,
silver and gold and vessels.

until year thirty five of the reign of Asa.
