Automated conversion of Hebrew square text and the accents with music

I'm just having a little fun with the music of the accents to see if communication is possible without modern music notation. Solfege might provide something too - but more study needed for ornamentation in solfege.

Here is Psalm 18 again in SimHebrew with the English following and with the ta`amei ha-mikra (accents) below the text interpreted as reciting notes, c d e f g A B C and the ornaments as superscripts (see the table at the end of the post). I was lucky to have all the carriage returns in the Hebrew already so I had no programming to do to paragraph the major disjunctive accents.


If there is no specification of the first note, it defaults to e, where we would have ended up on the previous verse. For the SimHebrew spec see the prior post linked above.

Here is the mapping with the normal ascii characters substituting for the complex Unicode characters. I used v for revia and zaqef-qatan since they are both essentially mordents, a single note down and then return to the original note. 5 for the illuy (rare) is a fifth above the note as the same sign below the text is the fifth note of the scale.
