This is not child's play. The lectionary calls for only 5 verses. Verse 5 to 9. One had better read at least enough to show that Jeremiah is dealing with falsehood.
But can anyone show falsehood today? Humans seem to be good at deceiving themselves into believing they are right.
Does the music tell us anything about this interaction? It would be odd to allow it to be bland. I haven't cheated here. I actually am picking the music from the shelf of the library here. And I have to walk down the shelves and get the embed code to display it below, or download the XML and load it into the music program so I can add the English underlay and perhaps design a lesson to be read by three readers.
And to do such a thing requires preparation and practice. One learns a lot from the exercise. The shape of a story is often quite surprising. It takes time for it to sink in.
