Psalm 79

Psalms 79: Syllables: 341; Longest recitation: 11; Tenor: e 23.17%;
Ornament density: 13.3%; Average phrase length: 10.9.

The average length of the musical phrases between cadences is 10.9 in this psalm. Longest recitation is 11 (bar 58). This is definitely one phrase of length 19 syllables. Ornament density for the psalm is 13.3.

Verse 3 has a long phrase of 17 syllables essentially without a break. It is easy enough to allow a breath at the revia in the long second phrase of verse 1, but not so easy to observe a similar pause in verse 2a. In any case, the revia allows a pause but it is not a cadence.

1 A psalm of Asaph.
O God the nations have come into your inheritance. They have defiled even your holy temple.
They have set up Jerusalem in shambles. (1-2-4-1)
