I am really excited about this.
Congratulations :) No wonder you are excited this is the result of a whole lot of work!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tim - yes it's work, but it has been a blast (=fun) so far. I have had some great help from poets and Hebrew specialists - helping me focus on the one thing that is unique about this work - the analysis of recurring roots and the resulting contribution to form and coherence - both of the individual poems and of the Psalter as redacted. What I am wondering now is when the music was added. I expect that this will have been consolidated after the return from exile... along the time of the writing of Chronicles - and that's a hunch. I have not studied Chronicles in depth.
