1 Of David. Contend, Yahweh, with my contenders. Fight those fighting me. (1-4-1)
א לדו֨ד ריב֣ה י֭הוה את־יריב֑י ל֝ח֗ם את־לֽחמֽי	11 6		a ldvid ribh ihvh at-iribii lkm at-lokmii
2 Encourage shield and grappling hook, and arise to my help. (1-4-1)
ב החז֣ק מג֣ן וצנ֑ה ו֝ק֗ומה בעזרתֽי	8 7		b hkzq mgn vxinh vqumh byzrti
3 And do away with spear and imprison the call of my persecutors, Say to my being, I am your salvation. (1-4-1)
ג וה֘ר֤ק חנ֣ית ו֭סגר לקר֣את רדפ֑י אמ֥ר ל֝נפש֗י יֽשעת֥ך אֽני	11 11		g vhrq knit usgor lqrat rodpii amor lnpwi iwuytç ani
4 Let them be ashamed and humiliated who seek my being. Let them be repulsed and disappointed, who devise my hurt. (1-2-4-1)
ד יב֣שו ויכלמו֮ מבקש֪י נ֫פש֥י יס֣גו אח֣ור ויחפר֑ו ח֝שב֗י רעתֽי	12 9 5		d ibowu viiclmu mbqwi npwi iisogu akor vikpru kowbi ryti
5 Let them be as chaff in the face of wind, and the angel of Yahweh pushing. (1-4-1)
ה יֽהי֗ו כמ֥ץ לפני־ר֑וח ומלא֖ך יהו֣ה דוחֽה	7 7		h ihiu cmox lpni-ruk umlaç ihvh dokh
6 Let their way be dark and divided, and the angel of Yahweh their persecutor. (1-4-1)
ו יֽהי־דרכ֗ם ח֥שך וחלקלק֑ות ומלא֥ך י֝הו֗ה רדפֽם	11 7		v ihi-drcm kowç vklqlqot umlaç ihvh rodpm
7 Because for nothing they buried destruction for me. Their net for nothing, they excavate for me. (1-4-1)
ז כֽי־חנ֣ם טֽמנו־ל֭י ש֣חת רשת֑ם ח֝נ֗ם חפר֥ו לנפשֽי	9 7		z ci-kinm Tmnu-li wkt rwtm kinm kpru lnpwi
8 Let catastrophe come upon him unknown to him, and let his net which he buried catch him. In catastrophe, he will fall in it. (1-2-4-1)
ח תבוא֣הו שואה֮ לֽא־י֫ד֥ע ורשת֣ו אשר־טמ֣ן תלכד֑ו ב֝שוא֗ה יפל־בֽה	8 10 6		k tboahu woah la-iidy vrwto awr-Tmn tlcdo bwoah iipol-bh
9 ♪g And my being rejoices in Yahweh. She joys in his salvation. (g-1-4-1)
ט ו֭נפשי תג֣יל ביהו֑ה ת֝שיש בישועתֽו	7 6		T vnpwi tgil bihvh twiw biwuyto
10 ♪f All my bones will say, Yahweh who is like you? Delivering the poor from the resolute, even from him, and the poor and needy from his ravager. (~1-2-4-1)

11 ♪g Violent witnesses arise. Things that are unknown to me they inquire of me. (g-1-4-1)
יא י֭קומון עד֣י חמ֑ס אש֥ר לא־י֝ד֗עתי ישאלֽוני	7 9		ia iqumun ydi kms awr la-idyti iwaluni
12 They repay me evil under the guise of good to bereave me of my being. (1-1)
יב ישלמ֣וני ר֭עה ת֥חת טוב֗ה שכ֣ול לנפשֽי	15		ib iwlmuni ryh tkt Tobh wcol lnpwi
13 But I in their illness make sackcloth my clothing. I afflict my being with fasting. And my prayer into my embrace returned. (1-4-1)
יג ואנ֤י בחלות֡ם לב֬ושי ש֗ק ענ֣יתי בצ֣ום נפש֑י ו֝תפלת֗י על־חיק֥י תשֽוב	18 9		ig vani bklotm lbuwi wq yiniti bxom npwi utpilti yl-kiqi twub
14 I walked as friend, as my kin, mourning as one lamenting a mother, I prostrate myself. (1-4-1)
יד כרֽע־כא֣ח ל֭י התהל֑כתי כאבל־א֝֗ם קד֥ר שחֽותי	10 9		id criy-cak li hthlcti cabl-am qodr wkoti
15 But in my halting they were glad and gathered, gathered above me, those who strike, unknown to me. They ripped and were not mute. (1-2-4-1)
טו ובצלעי֮ שמח֪ו וֽנא֫ס֥פו נאספ֬ו על֣י נ֭כים ול֣א יד֑עתי קֽרע֥ו ולא־דֽמו	10 12 5		Tv ubxlyi wmku vnaspu naspu ylii ncim vla idyti qryu vla-dmu
16 ♪g With polluted derision parasitical, they gnash their teeth at me. (g-1-4-1)
טז ב֭חנפי לעג֣י מע֑וג חר֖ק על֣י שנֽימו	8 7		Tz bknpi lygi myog kroq ylii winimo
17 My Lord how much do you see? Turn me from their catastrophes, from the young lions my uniqueness. (1-2-4-1)
יז אדני֮ כמ֪ה ת֫רא֥ה הש֣יבה נ֭פשי משאיה֑ם מ֝כפיר֗ים יחידתֽי	7 9 7		iz adonii cmh trah hwibh npwi mwoaihm mcpirim ikidti
18 ♪g I will give you thanks in the congregation of the many. Among a numerous people I will praise you. (g-1-4-1)
יח א֭ודך בקה֣ל ר֑ב בע֖ם עצ֣ום אהֽללֽך	6 8		ik aodç bqhl rb bym yxum ahllç
19 Let not my enemies be falsely glad over me. Those hating me for nothing, let them not eye me with a wink. (1-4-1)
יט אֽל־ישמחו־ל֣י איב֣י ש֑קר שנא֥י ח֝נ֗ם יקרצו־עֽין	9 8		iT al-iwmku-li aoibii wqr wonaii kinm iqrxu-yin
20 ♪C For they do not speak peace. But above the moment of the earth, they devise words of deceit. (C-1-2-4-1)
כ כ֤י ל֥א של֗ום יד֫ב֥רו וע֥ל רגעי־א֑רץ דבר֥י מ֝רמות יחשבֽון	8 5 8		c ci la wlom idbru vyl rgyi-arx dbri mrmot ikwobun
21 And they open wide their mouth above me, and they say, Aha aha! Our eye sees. (1-2-4-1)
כא וירח֥יבו על֗י פ֫יה֥ם א֭מרו הא֣ח הא֑ח ראת֥ה עינֽינו	8 6 6		ca virkibu ylii pihm amru hak hak rath yinnu
22 You see Yahweh, do not keep silent. My Lord, do not be distant from me. (1-4-1)
כב רא֣יתה י֭הוה אֽל־תחר֑ש א֝דנ֗י אל־תרח֥ק ממֽני	9 9		cb rait ihvh al-tkrw adonii al-trkq mmni
23 Rouse yourself and awaken to my judgment, my God, and my Lord, to my contention. (1-4-1)
כג הע֣ירה ו֭הקיצה למשפט֑י אלה֖י וֽאדנ֣י לריבֽי	11 9		cg hyirh vhqixh lmwpTi alohii vadonii lribi
24 Judge me according to your righteousness, Yahweh my God, and let them not be glad over me. (1-1)
כד שפט֣ני כ֭צדקך יהו֥ה אלה֗י ואל־ישמחו־לֽי	18		cd wopTni cxdqç ihvh alohii val-iwmku-li
25 Let them not say in their heart, Aha! ours he is. Let them not say, We have swallowed him up. (1-4-1)
כה אל־יאמר֣ו ב֭לבם הא֣ח נפש֑נו אל־י֝אמר֗ו בֽלענֽוהו	11 8		ch al-iamru blibm hak npwnu al-iamru bilynuhu
26 ♪~ Let them be ashamed and disappointed together who are glad in my hurt. Let them be clothed in shame and humiliation, who magnify themselves above me. (~1-2-4-1)
כו י֘ב֤שו ויחפר֨ו יחדו֮ שמח֪י רע֫ת֥י יֽלבשו־ב֥שת וכלמ֑ה הֽמגדיל֥ים עלֽי	15 7 6		cv ibowu vikpru ikdiv wmki ryti ilbwu-bowt uclimh hmgdilim ylii
27 Let them shout for joy and be glad who delight in my righteousness, and let them say continually, Yahweh be magnified, who delights in the peace of his servant. (1-2-4-1)

28 ♪g And my tongue will meditate on your righteousness, all the day long your praises. (g-1-4-1)
