Genesis 40 | Fn | Min | Max | Syll
וַיְהִ֗י אַחַר֙ הַדְּבָרִ֣ים הָאֵ֔לֶּה חָֽטְא֛וּ מַשְׁקֵ֥ה מֶֽלֶךְ־מִצְרַ֖יִם וְהָאֹפֶ֑ה לַאֲדֹנֵיהֶ֖ם לְמֶ֥לֶךְ מִצְרָֽיִם | 1 | And it was following these things. The cupbearer of the king of Egypt and the baker sinned, against their lord, the king of Egypt. | 3d | 4B | 22 11
וַיִּקְצֹ֣ף פַּרְעֹ֔ה עַ֖ל שְׁנֵ֣י סָרִיסָ֑יו עַ֚ל שַׂ֣ר הַמַּשְׁקִ֔ים וְעַ֖ל שַׂ֥ר הָאוֹפִֽים | 2 | And Pharaoh was enraged over both his eunuchs, against the chief cupbearer and against the chief baker. | 3e | 4C | 11 11
וַיִּתֵּ֨ן אֹתָ֜ם בְּמִשְׁמַ֗ר בֵּ֛ית שַׂ֥ר הַטַבָּחִ֖ים אֶל־בֵּ֣ית הַסֹּ֑הַר מְק֕וֹם אֲשֶׁ֥ר יוֹסֵ֖ף אָס֥וּר שָֽׁם | 3 | And he consigned them in the keep of the house of the chief of the slaughter, to the house of the crescent, the place where Joseph was bound. | 3d | 4B | 19 9
וַ֠יִּפְקֹד שַׂ֣ר הַטַּבָּחִ֧ים אֶת־יוֹסֵ֛ף אִתָּ֖ם וַיְשָׁ֣רֶת אֹתָ֑ם וַיִּהְי֥וּ יָמִ֖ים בְּמִשְׁמָֽר | 4 | ~ | And the chief of the slaughter entrusted Joseph with them, and he ministered to them. And they were days in the keep. | 3c | 4B | 18 8 |
וַיַּֽחַלְמוּ֩ חֲל֨וֹם שְׁנֵיהֶ֜ם אִ֤ישׁ חֲלֹמוֹ֙ בְּלַ֣יְלָה אֶחָ֔ד אִ֖ישׁ כְּפִתְר֣וֹן חֲלֹמ֑וֹ הַמַּשְׁקֶ֣ה וְהָאֹפֶ֗ה אֲשֶׁר֙ לְמֶ֣לֶךְ מִצְרַ֔יִם אֲשֶׁ֥ר אֲסוּרִ֖ים בְּבֵ֥ית הַסֹּֽהַר | 5 | And they dreamed a dream, the two of them, each his dream in one night, each according to the interpreting of his dream, the cupbearer and the baker who were of the king of Egypt, who were prisoners in the house of the crescent. | 3e | 4C | 25 24
וַיָּבֹ֧א אֲלֵיהֶ֛ם יוֹסֵ֖ף בַּבֹּ֑קֶר וַיַּ֣רְא אֹתָ֔ם וְהִנָּ֖ם זֹעֲפִֽים | 6 | And Joseph came to them in the morning. And he saw them, and behold they were frail. | 3c | 4B | 11 10
וַיִּשְׁאַ֞ל אֶת־סְרִיסֵ֣י פַרְעֹ֗ה אֲשֶׁ֨ר אִתּ֧וֹ בְמִשְׁמַ֛ר בֵּ֥ית אֲדֹנָ֖יו לֵאמֹ֑ר מַדּ֛וּעַ פְּנֵיכֶ֥ם רָעִ֖ים הַיּֽוֹם | 7 | And he asked the eunuchs of Pharaoh that were with him in the keep of the house of his master, saying, Why are your faces dejected today. | 3c | 4B | 22 10
וַיֹּאמְר֣וּ אֵלָ֔יו חֲל֣וֹם חָלַ֔מְנוּ וּפֹתֵ֖ר אֵ֣ין אֹת֑וֹ וַיֹּ֨אמֶר אֲלֵהֶ֜ם יוֹסֵ֗ף הֲל֤וֹא לֵֽאלֹהִים֙ פִּתְרֹנִ֔ים סַפְּרוּ־נָ֖א לִֽי | 8 | And they said to him, A dream we dreamed, and to interpret it there is none. And Joseph said to them, Are not interpretations of God? Recount, please, to me. | 3e | 4C | 16 19
וַיְסַפֵּ֧ר שַֽׂר־הַמַּשְׁקִ֛ים אֶת־חֲלֹמ֖וֹ לְיוֹסֵ֑ף וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֔וֹ בַּחֲלוֹמִ֕י וְהִנֵּה־גֶ֖פֶן לְפָנָֽי | 9 | And the chief cupbearer recounted his dream to Joseph, saying to him, I dreamed, and behold, a vine before me, | 3c | 4B | 14 16
וּבַגֶּ֖פֶן שְׁלֹשָׁ֣ה שָׂרִיגִ֑ם וְהִ֤יא כְפֹרַ֙חַת֙ עָלְתָ֣ה נִצָּ֔הּ הִבְשִׁ֥ילוּ אַשְׁכְּלֹתֶ֖יהָ עֲנָבִֽים | 10 | And in the vine, three intertwining branches. And it was as though she flourished. She came up sparkling. Her clusters succulent grapes. | 3e | 4C | 10 21
וְכ֥וֹס פַּרְעֹ֖ה בְּיָדִ֑י וָאֶקַּ֣ח אֶת־הָֽעֲנָבִ֗ים וָֽאֶשְׂחַ֤ט אֹתָם֙ אֶל־כּ֣וֹס פַּרְעֹ֔ה וָאֶתֵּ֥ן אֶת־הַכּ֖וֹס עַל־כַּ֥ף פַּרְעֹֽה | 11 | And the cup of Pharaoh was in my hand. And I took the grapes, and squished them into the cup of Pharaoh, and I gave the cup into the palm of Pharaoh. | 3e | 4C | 7 27
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר לוֹ֙ יוֹסֵ֔ף זֶ֖ה פִּתְרֹנ֑וֹ שְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙ הַשָּׂ֣רִגִ֔ים שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִ֖ים הֵֽם | 12 | And Joseph said to him, This is the interpretation. The three intertwining branches, three days they were, | 3e | 4C | 10 13
בְּע֣וֹד ׀ שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֗ים יִשָּׂ֤א פַרְעֹה֙ אֶת־רֹאשֶׁ֔ךָ וַהֲשִֽׁיבְךָ֖ עַל־כַּנֶּ֑ךָ וְנָתַתָּ֤ כוֹס־פַּרְעֹה֙ בְּיָד֔וֹ כַּמִּשְׁפָּט֙ הָֽרִאשׁ֔וֹן אֲשֶׁ֥ר הָיִ֖יתָ מַשְׁקֵֽהוּ | 13 | Before three days has past, Pharaoh will lift up your head and will restore you to your role. And you will give the cup of Pharaoh into his hand according to the former framework when you were his cupbearer. | 3e | 4C | 23 24
כִּ֧י אִם־זְכַרְתַּ֣נִי אִתְּךָ֗ כַּאֲשֶׁר֙ יִ֣יטַב לָ֔ךְ וְעָשִֽׂיתָ־נָּ֥א עִמָּדִ֖י חָ֑סֶד וְהִזְכַּרְתַּ֙נִי֙ אֶל־פַּרְעֹ֔ה וְהוֹצֵאתַ֖נִי מִן־הַבַּ֥יִת הַזֶּֽה | 14 | c | In contrast, remember me with you, that as it may be good for you, so deal please with me kindly. And remember me to Pharaoh, and bring me forth from this house. | 3c | 4B | 23 19 |
כִּֽי־גֻנֹּ֣ב גֻּנַּ֔בְתִּי מֵאֶ֖רֶץ הָעִבְרִ֑ים וְגַם־פֹּה֙ לֹא־עָשִׂ֣יתִֽי מְא֔וּמָה כִּֽי־שָׂמ֥וּ אֹתִ֖י בַּבּֽוֹר | 15 | For I was stolen from the land of the Hebrews. And moreover, here, I have not done anything whatever that they should put me in the pit. | 3e | 4B | 11 15
וַיַּ֥רְא שַׂר־הָאֹפִ֖ים כִּ֣י ט֣וֹב פָּתָ֑ר וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־יוֹסֵ֔ף אַף־אֲנִי֙ בַּחֲלוֹמִ֔י וְהִנֵּ֗ה שְׁלֹשָׁ֛ה סַלֵּ֥י חֹרִ֖י עַל־רֹאשִֽׁי | 16 | When the chief baker saw that interpretation was good, then he said to Joseph, Also, myself in my dream, and behold, three woven panniers, cream-white, on my head, | 3d | 4B | 10 26
וּבַסַּ֣ל הָֽעֶלְי֔וֹן מִכֹּ֛ל מַאֲכַ֥ל פַּרְעֹ֖ה מַעֲשֵׂ֣ה אֹפֶ֑ה וְהָע֗וֹף אֹכֵ֥ל אֹתָ֛ם מִן־הַסַּ֖ל מֵעַ֥ל רֹאשִֽׁי | 17 | And in the uppermost woven pannier, from all of the food of Pharaoh, the undertakings of baking, and the fowl ate them from the woven pannier on my head. | 3d | 4B | 18 14
וַיַּ֤עַן יוֹסֵף֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר זֶ֖ה פִּתְרֹנ֑וֹ שְׁלֹ֙שֶׁת֙ הַסַּלִּ֔ים שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת יָמִ֖ים הֵֽם | 18 | And Joseph answered and he said, This is the interpretation. The three woven panniers, three days they were. | 3e | 4C | 12 12
בְּע֣וֹד ׀ שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת יָמִ֗ים יִשָּׂ֨א פַרְעֹ֤ה אֶת־רֹֽאשְׁךָ֙ מֵֽעָלֶ֔יךָ וְתָלָ֥ה אוֹתְךָ֖ עַל־עֵ֑ץ וְאָכַ֥ל הָע֛וֹף אֶת־בְּשָׂרְךָ֖ מֵעָלֶֽיךָ | 19 | Before three days has past, Pharaoh will lift up your head from over you, and hang you on a tree. And the fowl will eat your flesh from over you. | 3d | 4C | 25 13
וַיְהִ֣י ׀ בַּיּ֣וֹם הַשְּׁלִישִׁ֗י י֚וֹם הֻלֶּ֣דֶת אֶת־פַּרְעֹ֔ה וַיַּ֥עַשׂ מִשְׁתֶּ֖ה לְכָל־עֲבָדָ֑יו וַיִּשָּׂ֞א אֶת־רֹ֣אשׁ ׀ שַׂ֣ר הַמַּשְׁקִ֗ים וְאֶת־רֹ֛אשׁ שַׂ֥ר הָאֹפִ֖ים בְּת֥וֹךְ עֲבָדָֽיו | 20 | And it was on the third day, the nativity day of Pharaoh, and he made a party for all his servants, and he lifted up the head of the chief cupbearer and the head of the chief baker in the midst of his servants. | 3d | 4C | 24 21
וַיָּ֛שֶׁב אֶת־שַׂ֥ר הַמַּשְׁקִ֖ים עַל־מַשְׁקֵ֑הוּ וַיִּתֵּ֥ן הַכּ֖וֹס עַל־כַּ֥ף פַּרְעֹֽה | 21 | And he restored the chief cupbearer to his cupbearing, and he gave the cup into the palm of Pharaoh. | 3d | 4A | 12 9
וְאֵ֛ת שַׂ֥ר הָאֹפִ֖ים תָּלָ֑ה כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר פָּתַ֛ר לָהֶ֖ם יוֹסֵֽף | 22 | And the chief baker, he hanged, as Joseph had interpreted to them. | 3d | 4A | 8 9
וְלֹֽא־זָכַ֧ר שַֽׂר־הַמַּשְׁקִ֛ים אֶת־יוֹסֵ֖ף וַיִּשְׁכָּחֵֽהוּ | 23 | And the chief cupbearer did not remember Joseph, but he forgot him. | 3c | 3g | 15 |

Genesis 40
How does one make the recounting of a dream dreamy? I had to stretch for a few glosses. I had to chose a solution to the hapax שׂחט. I have already used press and squeeze and dribble.
