1 A psalm of Asaph.
The God of Gods, Yahweh, spoke and he called earth
from the rising of the sun to its going down. (1-2-4-1)

ממזרח־ש֝֗מש עד־מבאֽו

2 From Zion, the perfection of beauty, God has shined. (1-1)
ב מצי֥ון מכלל־י֗פי אלה֥ים הופֽיע 13

3 ♪C Our God comes and will not keep silence.
Fire from his presence will devour,
and surrounding him much sweeping. (C-1-2-4-1)
ג י֤ב֥א אלה֗ינו וֽאל־י֫חר֥ש
אש־לפנ֥יו תאכ֑ל
ו֝סביב֗יו נשער֥ה מאֽד

4 He will call to the heavens from above,
and to the earth to make the case for his people. (1-4-1)
ד יקר֣א אל־השמ֣ים מע֑ל
ואל־ה֝א֗רץ לד֥ין עמֽו

5 Gather to me those who are under my mercy,
those who cut my covenant with me as offering. (1-4-1)
ה אספו־ל֥י חסיד֑י
כרת֖י ברית֣י עלי־זֽבח

6 And the heavens will make evident his righteousness,
for God himself is judging. Selah. (1-4-1)

7 Hear, O my people, and I will speak, O Israel, and I will witness in you.

12 If I were hungry I would not say so to you,

13 ♪g Will I eat the flesh of the mighty,
or the blood of goats imbibe? (g-1-4-1)

14 Offer thanksgiving to God,
and pay your vows to the Most High. (1-4-1)

15 ♪g And call on me in the day of trouble.
I will rescue you and you will glorify me. (g-1-4-1)
טו ו֭קראני בי֣ום צר֑ה

16 But to the wicked God said, What is it to you to recount my statutes,
and that you would bear my covenant in your mouth? (1-4-1)
טז ול֤רש֨ע א֘מ֤ר אלה֗ים מה־ל֭ך לספ֣ר חק֑י
ותש֖א ברית֣י עלי־פֽיך

17 ♪g For you, you hate chastening,
and cast what I speak behind you. (g-1-4-1)

18 If you see a thief then you find favour with him,
and with those committing adultery, you want your share. (1-4-1)

19 ♪g Your mouth you set loose in evil,
and your tongue couples deceit. (g-1-4-1)

To your mother's child you assign blemish. (g-1-4-1)

21 ♪C These things you have done and I kept silent. Did you suppose that being so, I would be like you?
I will correct you and I will arrange it in your sight. (C-1-4-1)

אוכיחך֖ ואֽערכ֣ה לעינֽיך

22 May you understand this, your forgetting of God,
lest I tear and there is none to deliver. (1-4-1)

23 One who offers thanksgiving glorifies me,
and defines a way.
I will show that one in the salvation of God. (1-2-4-1)
