א למנצ֥ח אל־תשח֗ת לדו֥ד מכתֽם 12

2 Is it truly a dumb righteousness that you speak?
From uprightness you judge the children of humanity? (1-4-1)
ב הֽאמנ֗ם א֣לם צ֭דק תדבר֑ון
מישר֥ים ת֝שפט֗ו בנ֣י אדֽם

3 Indeed you work injustice in the heart.
In the earth, you level out the violence of your hands. (1-2-1)
ג אף־בלב֮ עול֪ת תפע֫ל֥ון
בא֡רץ חמ֥ס י֝דיכ֗ם תפלֽסֽון

4 ♪B Estranged are the wicked from the womb.

5 Their heat is akin to the heat of a snake.

ה חמת־ל֗מו כדמ֥ות חמת־נח֑ש
כמו־פ֥תן ח֝ר֗ש יאט֥ם אזנֽו

6 which will not hear the voice of the conjurers,
charming charms with wisdom. (1-4-1)

7 O God, overthrow their teeth in their mouths.
the fangs of young lions break off, Yahweh. (1-4-1)

מלתע֥ות כ֝פיר֗ים נת֣ץ יהוֽה

9 as a slimy slug slithering off,
a woman's miscarriage that will not gaze on the sun. (1-4-1)

10 Ere your garden-pots discern a brierpatch,
like life, like burning, he will sweep him away. (1-4-1)
י בט֤רם יב֣ינו סירתיכ֣ם אט֑ד
כמו־ח֥י כמו־ח֝ר֗ון ישערֽנו

11 A righteous one will be glad for he gazes on vengeance.
He will wash his footfall in the blood of the wicked. (1-4-1)
יא ישמ֣ח צ֭דיק כי־חז֣ה נק֑ם
פעמ֥יו י֝רח֗ץ בד֣ם הרשֽע

12 And a human will say, Surely fruit for one who is righteous.
Surely there is a God judging in the earth. (1-4-1)
יב ויאמ֣ר א֭דם אך־פר֣י לצד֑יק
א֥ך יש־א֝לה֗ים שפט֥ים באֽרץ
