#Psalmtweet #Psalter 111:5

Psalm 111 is the first of a pair of acrostics to celebrate Psalm 110.

Prey?

טֶ֭רֶף נָתַ֣ן לִֽירֵאָ֑יו
יִזְכֹּ֖ר לְעוֹלָ֣ם בְּרִיתֽוֹ
5 ♪g To those who fear him he gives prey,
Yea, he remembers forever his covenant.

The poet requires a first letter tet, that oddball second 't' in the Hebrew script, the only SimHebrew letter that requires an escape character.

English translations incorrectly search for meaning. That is such a mean thing to do. It reduces everything to a minimal shape and sound.

For the role of this psalm see further here.
