Who has not yet been counted in Asia - a geography lesson

Continents, Countries, and Counting COVID-19. There are lots of numbers here: https://www.worldometers.info/population/ and there are tons of other presentations. I wonder if they can be reduced to a blog post using spreadsheets or if I need to have all the data in a database.

I will start with the Asian countries. There appear to be 51. How many could I recognize on the map?
Asian region roughly cut out - there's a labelled map here
I can see this will all be very fuzzy without a database. Different web pages have differing lists for the UN definition of the Asian region. Of these Asian region countries, the only one not listed in the main COVID-19 list that I have been using here is Yemen.

Asia - population dominated by China, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Japan, Philippines, Vietnam, Turkey, Iran,
then Thailand, Myanmar, South Korea, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi, Arabia, Uzbekistan, Malaysia, Yemen, Nepal,
and then it's a blur: North Korea, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan, Syria, Cambodia, Jordan, Azerbaijan, United Arab Emirates, Tajikistan, Israel, Hong Kong, Laos, Lebanon, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Singapore, State of Palestine, Oman, Kuwait, Georgia, Mongolia, Armenia, Qatar, Bahrain, Timor-Leste, Cyprus, Bhutan, Macao, Maldives, Brunei.
To be briefer, In Africa, out of 58 countries, 12 are not reporting yet: Botswana, Burundi, Central African Republic, Comoros, Côte d'Ivoire, Lesotho, Malawi, Saint Helena, Sao Tome & Principe, Sierra Leone, South Sudan, and Western Sahara .

Every country in Europe has reported cases.

In North America, only Saint Pierre and Miquelon has not reported.

In South America, Latin America and the Caribbean, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Sint Maarten, United States Virgin Islands, and the Falkland Islands have not reported.

In Oceania, Solomon Islands, Vanuatu, French Polynesia, Samoa, American Samoa, Cook Islands, Wallis and Futuna Islands, Tuvalu, Niue, Tokelau, and all of Micronesia have not reported.

This manual count makes a total of 35 countries and dependencies. Does it add up with 196 (231) to the right number? It's close.
