הֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה כִּי־ט֑וֹב כִּ֖י לְעוֹלָ֣ם חַסְדּֽוֹ	1		Give thanks to Yahweh for it is good, for his kindness is forever,	3e	4B	6 6
יֹ֭אמְרוּ גְּאוּלֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר גְּ֝אָלָ֗ם מִיַּד־צָֽר	2	g	Let the redeemed of Yahweh say, who redeemed them from the hand of trouble,	3e	4B	7 8
וּֽמֵאֲרָצ֗וֹת קִ֫בְּצָ֥ם מִמִּזְרָ֥ח וּמִֽמַּעֲרָ֑ב מִצָּפ֥וֹן וּמִיָּֽם	3		and from lands collected them, from the sunrise and from the sunset from the treasured place and from the sea.	3e	4A	7 8 6
תָּע֣וּ בַ֭מִּדְבָּר בִּישִׁימ֣וֹן דָּ֑רֶךְ עִ֥יר מ֝וֹשָׁ֗ב לֹ֣א מָצָֽאוּ	4		They wandered in the wilderness in a wasteland wayward, a city seat they did not find.	3e	4B	10 7
רְעֵבִ֥ים גַּם־צְמֵאִ֑ים נַ֝פְשָׁ֗ם בָּהֶ֥ם תִּתְעַטָּֽף	5		Hungry and even thirsty, their beings in them overwhelmed,	3e	4A	7 7
וַיִּצְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הוָה בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם מִ֝מְּצֽוּקוֹתֵיהֶ֗ם יַצִּילֵֽם	6		and they cry out to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he delivers them.	3e	4B	11 8
וַ֭יַּֽדְרִיכֵם בְּדֶ֣רֶךְ יְשָׁרָ֑ה לָ֝לֶ֗כֶת אֶל־עִ֥יר מוֹשָֽׁב	7	g	And he directs them in a way that is upright, to walk to a city seat.	3e	4B	10 7
יוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה חַסְדּ֑וֹ וְ֝נִפְלְאוֹתָ֗יו לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם	8		Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity.	3e	4B	6 9
כִּי־הִ֭שְׂבִּיעַ נֶ֣פֶשׁ שֹׁקֵקָ֑ה וְנֶ֥פֶשׁ רְ֝עֵבָה מִלֵּא־טֽוֹב	9		For he satisfies a shiftless self, and a hungry self he fills with good.	3e	4B	9 9
יֹ֭שְׁבֵי חֹ֣שֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָ֑וֶת אֲסִירֵ֖י עֳנִ֣י וּבַרְזֶֽל	10	g	Sitting in darkness and shadow of death, prisoners of poverty and iron,	3e	4B	8 8
כִּֽי־הִמְר֥וּ אִמְרֵי־אֵ֑ל וַעֲצַ֖ת עֶלְי֣וֹן נָאָֽצוּ	11		for they were provocative of the promises of God, and the counsel of the Most High they spurned,	3e	4B	6 8
וַיַּכְנַ֣ע בֶּעָמָ֣ל לִבָּ֑ם כָּ֝שְׁל֗וּ וְאֵ֣ין עֹזֵֽר	12		and he will bring their heart to heel with toil. They stumbled and there was no help.	3e	4B	8 6
וַיִּזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הוָה בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם מִ֝מְּצֻֽקוֹתֵיהֶ֗ם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽם	13		And they cry out to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he saves them.	3e	4B	11 8
יֽ֭וֹצִיאֵם מֵחֹ֣שֶׁךְ וְצַלְמָ֑וֶת וּמוֹסְר֖וֹתֵיהֶ֣ם יְנַתֵּֽק	14	g	He brings them out from darkness and shadow of death, and their bonds he snaps.	3e	4B	10 8
יוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה חַסְדּ֑וֹ וְ֝נִפְלְאוֹתָ֗יו לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם	15		Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity.	3e	4B	6 9
כִּֽי־שִׁ֭בַּר דַּלְת֣וֹת נְחֹ֑שֶׁת וּבְרִיחֵ֖י בַרְזֶ֣ל גִּדֵּֽעַ	16		For he has broken the gateways of brass, and bars of iron he has chopped.	3e	4B	7 8
אֱ֭וִלִים מִדֶּ֣רֶךְ פִּשְׁעָ֑ם וּֽ֝מֵעֲוֺֽנֹתֵיהֶ֗ם יִתְעַנּֽוּ	17	g	Foolish from the way of their transgression, and from their iniquity will be afflicted.	3e	4B	8 10
כָּל־אֹ֭כֶל תְּתַעֵ֣ב נַפְשָׁ֑ם וַ֝יַּגִּ֗יעוּ עַד־שַׁ֥עֲרֵי מָֽוֶת	18		Their beings will abhor all food, and they will touch even to the gates of death.	3e	4B	8 10
וַיִּזְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הוָה בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם מִ֝מְּצֻֽקוֹתֵיהֶ֗ם יוֹשִׁיעֵֽם	19		And they cry out to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he saves them.	3e	4B	11 8
יִשְׁלַ֣ח דְּ֭בָרוֹ וְיִרְפָּאֵ֑ם וִֽ֝ימַלֵּ֗ט מִשְּׁחִיתוֹתָֽם	20		He sent his word and healed them, and let them escape from their self-destructions.	3e	4B	9 7
יוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה חַסְדּ֑וֹ וְ֝נִפְלְאוֹתָ֗יו לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם	21		Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity.	3e	4B	6 9
וְ֭יִזְבְּחוּ זִבְחֵ֣י תוֹדָ֑ה וִֽיסַפְּר֖וּ מַעֲשָׂ֣יו בְּרִנָּֽה	22	g	And they offer offerings of thanksgiving. And they recount his deeds with a shout of joy.	3e	4B	8 9
יוֹרְדֵ֣י הַ֭יָּם בָּאֳנִיּ֑וֹת עֹשֵׂ֥י מְ֝לָאכָ֗ה בְּמַ֣יִם רַבִּֽים	23		Descending to the sea in the ships, plying trade in the many waters,	3e	4B	8 9
הֵ֣מָּה רָ֭אוּ מַעֲשֵׂ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וְ֝נִפְלְאוֹתָ֗יו בִּמְצוּלָֽה	24	B	these have seen the deeds of Yahweh, and his wonderful works within the depth.	3e	4B	9 8
וַיֹּ֗אמֶר וַֽ֭יַּעֲמֵד ר֣וּחַ סְעָרָ֑ה וַתְּרוֹמֵ֥ם גַּלָּֽיו	25		And he promises and a tempestuous wind stands, and exalts its waves.	3e	4B	12 5
יַעֲל֣וּ שָׁ֭מַיִם יֵרְד֣וּ תְהוֹמ֑וֹת נַ֝פְשָׁ֗ם בְּרָעָ֥ה תִתְמוֹגָֽג	26		They ascend heavens. They descend the abyss, their beings in evil soften.	3e	4B	10 8
יָח֣וֹגּוּ וְ֭יָנוּעוּ כַּשִּׁכּ֑וֹר וְכָל־חָ֝כְמָתָ֗ם תִּתְבַּלָּֽע	27		They make a festival. They totter as if intoxicated, and all their wisdom is swallowed.	3e	4B	10 8
וַיִּצְעֲק֣וּ אֶל־יְ֭הוָה בַּצַּ֣ר לָהֶ֑ם וּֽ֝מִמְּצֽוּקֹתֵיהֶ֗ם יוֹצִיאֵֽם	28		And they cry out to Yahweh in their trouble. From their own distresses he saves them.	3e	4B	11 9
יָקֵ֣ם סְ֭עָרָה לִדְמָמָ֑ה וַ֝יֶּחֱשׁ֗וּ גַּלֵּיהֶֽם	29		He raises tempest into a whisper, and he calms their waves.	3e	4B	8 7
וַיִּשְׂמְח֥וּ כִֽי־יִשְׁתֹּ֑קוּ וַ֝יַּנְחֵ֗ם אֶל־מְח֥וֹז חֶפְצָֽם	30		And they are glad for they are stilled. And he comforts them in a harbour of their delight.	3e	4A	8 8
יוֹד֣וּ לַיהוָ֣ה חַסְדּ֑וֹ וְ֝נִפְלְאוֹתָ֗יו לִבְנֵ֥י אָדָֽם	31		Give thanks to Yahweh, his kindness, and his wonderful works for the children of humanity.	3e	4B	6 9
וִֽ֭ירֹמְמוּהוּ בִּקְהַל־עָ֑ם וּבְמוֹשַׁ֖ב זְקֵנִ֣ים יְהַלְלֽוּהוּ	32	g	And they exalt him in the congregation of the people, and where they are seated the elders praise him.	3e	4B	7 10
יָשֵׂ֣ם נְהָר֣וֹת לְמִדְבָּ֑ר וּמֹצָ֥אֵי מַ֝֗יִם לְצִמָּאֽוֹן	33		He sets up rivers as wilderness, and a source of water to thirsty ground.	3e	4B	8 9
אֶ֣רֶץ פְּ֭רִי לִמְלֵחָ֑ה מֵ֝רָעַ֗ת יֹ֣שְׁבֵי בָֽהּ	34	B	A land of fruit to a salt plain, from the evil of those sitting in her.	3e	4B	7 6
יָשֵׂ֣ם מִ֭דְבָּר לַֽאֲגַם־מַ֑יִם וְאֶ֥רֶץ צִ֝יָּ֗ה לְמֹצָ֥אֵי מָֽיִם	35		He sets up wilderness as a pool of water, and an arid land as a source of water.	3e	4B	8 11
וַיּ֣וֹשֶׁב שָׁ֣ם רְעֵבִ֑ים וַ֝יְכוֹנְנ֗וּ עִ֣יר מוֹשָֽׁב	36		And he makes the hungry sit there, and they establish a city seat.	3e	4B	7 6
וַיִּזְרְע֣וּ שָׂ֭דוֹת וַיִּטְּע֣וּ כְרָמִ֑ים וַ֝יַּעֲשׂ֗וּ פְּרִ֣י תְבֽוּאָה	37		And they sow fields, and they plant vineyards, and they make fruits of progress.	3e	4B	12 9
וַיְבָרֲכֵ֣ם וַיִּרְבּ֣וּ מְאֹ֑ד וּ֝בְהֶמְתָּ֗ם לֹ֣א יַמְעִֽיט	38		And he blesses them and they are much increased, and their cattle do not decrease.	3e	4B	9 6
וַיִּמְעֲט֥וּ וַיָּשֹׁ֑חוּ מֵעֹ֖צֶר רָעָ֣ה וְיָגֽוֹן	39		And they decrease and are depressed, through coercion of evil and sadness.	3e	4B	8 8
שֹׁפֵ֣ךְ בּ֭וּז עַל־נְדִיבִ֑ים וַ֝יַּתְעֵ֗ם בְּתֹ֣הוּ לֹא־דָֽרֶךְ	40		Pouring contempt on princes, he makes them wander in disorder without a way.	3e	4B	7 8
וַיְשַׂגֵּ֣ב אֶבְי֣וֹן מֵע֑וֹנִי וַיָּ֥שֶׂם כַּ֝צֹּ֗אן מִשְׁפָּחֽוֹת	41		And he sets on high the needy out of poverty, and he sets them up like a flock of families.	3e	4B	8 8
יִרְא֣וּ יְשָׁרִ֣ים וְיִשְׂמָ֑חוּ וְכָל־עַ֝וְלָ֗ה קָ֣פְצָה פִּֽיהָ	42		The upright see and are glad, and all injustice shuts its mouth.	3e	4B	9 8
מִי־חָכָ֥ם וְיִשְׁמָר־אֵ֑לֶּה וְ֝יִתְבּֽוֹנְנ֗וּ חַֽסְדֵ֥י יְהוָֽה	43		Who is wise and keeps these things? Then they will discern the kindness of Yahweh.	3e	4A	7 8
