They named the first kid, had a bunch more, and died (except Enoch)

Genesis 5 begins the begats. The message is seen in the fourth column below which shows the small number of syllables following the cadence in the music. There are three in a row: and he called his name x, and he had sons and daughters, and he died.

The patterns are broken in the first and seventh successions. Vs 3 - there is no object to the verb because Abel (futility) dies murdered and we've already mentioned Seth, and vs Enoch does not die.

Called them Adam - strange. But here the word is used alone without the article so I let the glosses match. Yet I frequently don't let glosses match - as in was born or gave birth to versus had. In English we have no equivalent to gave birth to when the male is the subject.
