There is a new blog on translation with some of my favoured bloggers contributing. Also others of my favoured bloggers are posting on translation issues - catching the flavour of Jerome's Latin, and avoiding the worship of ancient tongues where a dispute is noted linking to many discussions some of which are quite flavourful though they are not among my favorites (sp!). [But this is the first post I have read that really reminded me of the style of the first NT Wrong] This 'discussion' is relevant to the Venuti-Nida dispute concerning mono-lingual America - I am not sure whether the call is for 'advance' or 'retreat'. Perhaps more later...
Retired though I am, today is a work day in a work week.
