Qohelet 12

I haven't finished Qohelet 9 to 11 yet but I did do 12 a few months ago so here it is. I must admit it is difficult to leave the traditional sounds and rhythms of the KJV behind. The poem from verses 1 to 7 is moving as one moves into old age where one prays the prayer of Psalm 71.
9
do not cast me off in the time of old age
when my power is consumed do not forsake me
18
and even to old age and grey-hair
O God do not forsake me
till I have announced your arm to a generation
to all who come, your valour

Qohelet 12 Fn Min Max Syll
1 Remember your creator in the days of your prime,
while evil days have not yet come or years touch that you say, There is no delight in them for me.
3e 4C 13
26
2 ~ While the sun is not darkened, or the light or the moon or the stars,
and the thick clouds return after the showers.
3e 4C 22
11
3 ~ In the day that the keepers quaver in the house, and personal ability is subverted,
and the grinders are idle for they are few and the seers in the slits are sooty.
3e 4C 20
20
4 And the portals are latched in the souk and the voice of the grinding is abased,
and it rises at the voice of the bird and all the daughters of the song are depressed.
3e 4C 15
17
5 B Even from aloft they fear, and dismay is in the way, and the almond is spurned, and the grasshopper is burdened, and appetite is without effect,
for the earthling walks to his obscure house, and those who wail circle in the souk.
3e 4C 36
18
6 B While the pledge of silver is not distant or the golden globe splintered,
or pitcher broken at the font, or the tumbleweed splintered by the pit,
3e 4C 19
19
7 And the dust returns upon the earth as it was,
and the wind returns to this God who gave her.
3c 4B 14
16
8 An utter futility, touts the Qohelet, total futility. 3c 3g 15
9 And it remained that Qohelet became shrewd.
Still he taught the people knowledge, and he listened and he examined, and he straightened out many proverbs.
3e 4B 11
21
10 Qohelet sought to find delightful things,
and wrote upright things of truth.
3e 4B 10
9
11 The words of the shrewd are as goads, and as nails planted by the owners of gathered sayings,
given from one shepherd.
3e 4C 22
7
12 And of what remains from these, my child, be admonished:
of the making of many records, there is no end, and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
3e 4C 11
19
13 f The conclusion of the matter, the whole, let us hear:
Fear this God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole for the earthling.
3e 4C 7
20
14 C For this God will make every deed come into judgment out of all obscurity,
whether good or evil.
