Isaiah 55 - a first cut

I am almost ready for Isaiah 54. I have done the chapters on either side, translation and music - but not yet combined. But can one ever be ready - just keep on plugging. It's bound to get easier. I have reviewed all the glosses and roots for concordance - but I am bound to have missed some. I am working with my partial or complete translations of Psalms, Song, Qohelet, Ruth, Lamentations, Isaiah, Jonah, and Job. Also a bit of Esther. One day I will post on them also. They now differ somewhat from the existing pdf's on the side bar.

Update - my concordance algorithm notes that שִׁבְר֗וּ does not mean buy - nor break out - but simple break! As in break bread. (It's not in the table since it only occurs 2 times and I limited the table to 3 or more times due to size.)

1 C Ho! all thirsty, come to the water, even those without their money.
Come, break, and eat. And come, break even without money, even without price, wine and milk.

2 C Why would you spend money for no bread? and your labour for no satisfaction?
You hear, to hear me, and eat what is good and delight yourself exquisitely in fatness.

3 C Bend your ear and come to me. Hear and your integrity will live,
and I will cut with you the everlasting covenant of the faithful kindnesses that belonged to David.

5 B Lo, a nation that you did not know you will call, and nations that did not know you will race to you,
because of Yahweh your God, and to the Holy One of Israel, because he has adorned you.

19

7 Let the one who is wicked forsake his way and each the mischief of his devising,
and let each return to Yahweh and he will have compassion on him, and to our God, because he will abundantly pardon.

8 B for my devisings are not your devisings and your ways are not my ways.
An oracle of Yahweh.

9 For high and lofty are heavens over earth.
So high and lofty are my ways over your ways and my devisings over your devisings.
